A Sacred Space for Balance, Culture, and Connection

At LINGGA YOGA by The Jungle Pots, we invite you to step into a sanctuary where ancient Balinese wisdom meets the healing power of nature. Rooted in spiritual tradition and designed with intention, our retreat offers a meaningful space for guests to reconnect with themselves, the land, and the soul of Bali.

LINGGA YOGA by The Jungle Pots

At the heart of LINGGA YOGA by The Jungle Pots lies a story rooted in sacred land, ancient tradition, and the timeless pursuit of spiritual balance.

Our sanctuary is located in Pakuseba, a traditional hamlet within Taro Village, which has long been known for its strong spiritual energy. This area is intimately connected to the holy journey of Maha Rsi Agung Markandya, the revered sage credited with planting the spiritual seeds of Balinese Hinduism.

According to local tradition, after placing the sacred Panca Datu at Besakih Temple, Rsi Markandya continued his journey in search of a place for his followers to settle. He arrived at a vast, dense forest—a place alive with sacred energy. Here, he established a pasraman (spiritual hermitage), built temples, and sent his followers to search for a water source, a vital element in creating a sustainable spiritual community.

When a group of disciples descended a steep ravine and discovered a powerful spring, they returned to their teacher with the joyful cry, “Paek Suba” (“It’s near!”). That moment gave birth to the name Pakuseba, and to a legacy of sacred geography that continues to bless the land to this day.

It is upon this sacred land that we built LINGGA YOGA—a retreat not just for physical relaxation, but for spiritual restoration. At its center stands the Lingga Yoni, a towering 7-meter symbol representing the balance of divine masculine and feminine energies, the union of heaven and earth, and the cycle of creation and renewal.

Surrounded by 70% preserved forest—bamboo groves, ancient bodhi trees, flowing water, and fertile land—our sanctuary is not just inspired by nature; it is one with it.

But our story isn’t only about the past—it’s also about preservation, participation, and purpose. We are deeply committed to upholding the values of Bali Mula, the original cultural and spiritual traditions of Bali. All of our ceremonies, rituals, and spiritual activities are led by the local Banjar Pakuseba community, who have preserved these teachings for generations.

As tourism in Bali evolves, we stand as a bridge between ancient wisdom and modern seekers—offering not only experiences, but deep, meaningful journeys. We invite our guests not just to witness culture, but to live it: through Melukat rituals, sacred dances, communal meals, and shared prayers under the jungle canopy.

LINGGA YOGA by The Jungle Pots is our offering to the world—a space to return to your essence, guided by the land, the ancestors, and the sacred rhythms of Bali.

Community & Tradition

At LINGGA YOGA by The Jungle Pots, we are deeply rooted in the heart of the Banjar Pakuseba community. Our retreat isn’t just built near the village—it is an extension of it. Every ceremony, ritual, and cultural activity is authentically guided by the Bali Mula traditions, passed down from generation to generation.
We work hand-in-hand with local elders, artisans, and spiritual leaders to ensure that every experience reflects true Balinese wisdom—respected, preserved, and shared with sincerity. Guests are not merely observers but are invited to participate—in Megibung communal meals, village ceremonies, and sacred temple rituals.

This connection supports the spiritual life of the village while offering our visitors an immersive, respectful, and unforgettable cultural experience. Through collaboration, we honor both the past and the present, creating something meaningful for the future.

Our Philosophy

We believe that true healing comes from harmony—between the body and soul, the self and nature, the individual and community.
Our philosophy is built upon three sacred pillars:

  1. Balance – between the physical and the spiritual
  2. Simplicity – embracing peace in nature and daily ritual
  3. Authenticity – honoring culture through sincere, mindful experiences

Every corner of our sanctuary, every interaction, and every offering reflects this approach. We invite our guests to slow down, be present, and experience the gentle power of nature, spirit, and human connection.

Our Mission

To be Bali’s leading sanctuary for spiritual tourism—offering deeply rooted, culturally respectful, and soul-nourishing experiences. Through our programs, we aim to:

  • Restore inner balance and clarity for each guest
  • Preserve and uplift the sacred Bali Mula traditions
  • Foster a meaningful relationship between guests and the local community
  • Create a sustainable, heart-led retreat that supports people, culture, and the environment
